It is believed that when we perform Pitru Paksha rituals, the departed souls attain peace and in turn, blesses the person and his family who performs these rites. In the year 2025, Pitru Paksha will commence from 7th September 2025 (Friday) till 21 September 2025. According to Brahmpurana, before worshiping the Gods, a man should worship his ancestors because it is believed that the Gods are pleased with that.. On this day, it's customary to perform special puja rituals to seek the blessings of your ancestors.
