॥ श्रीरामापद्दुद्धारकस्तोत्रम् ॥
Śrī Rāma Āpadduddhāraka Stotram
(The Prayer to Lord Rāma, the Deliverer from Calamities)
१. आपदामपहर्तारं दातारं सर्वसम्पदाम् ।
लोकाभिरामं श्रीरामं भूयो भूयो नमाम्यहम् ॥
Aapadām apahartāram dātāram sarva-sampadām,
Lokābhirāmam Śrīrāmam bhūyo bhūyo namāmyaham.
Translation:
I offer my repeated obeisances unto Śrī Rāma,
who removes all dangers and distresses of life,
who bestows all opulences upon His devotees,
and who is the delight of all the worlds.
२. आर्थानामार्थिहन्तारं भीतानां भीतनाशनम् ।
द्विषतां कालदण्डं तं रामचन्द्रं नमाम्यहम् ॥
Ārthānām ārti-hantāraṁ bhītānāṁ bhīta-nāśanam,
Dviṣatāṁ kāla-daṇḍaṁ taṁ Rāmacandraṁ namāmyaham.
Translation:
I bow down to Lord Rāmacandra,
the destroyer of the sorrows of the distressed,
the remover of fear from the fearful,
and the inflictor of punishment upon the envious and wicked.
३. नमः कोदण्डहस्ताय सन्धिकृत शराय च ।
खण्डिताखिलदैत्याय रामायापनिवारिणे ॥
Namaḥ kodanda-hastāya sandhi-kṛta-śarāya ca,
Khaṇḍitākhila-daityāya Rāmāyāpannivāriṇe.
Translation:
Obeisances unto Lord Rāma, who holds the mighty bow Kodanda in His hand,
whose arrows destroy the hordes of demons,
and who removes all calamities from the lives of His devotees.
४. अग्रतः पश्चतः चैव पार्श्वतः च महाबलौ ।
आकर्णपूरणं धन्वानौ रक्षेतां रामलक्ष्मणौ ॥
Agrataḥ paścataś caiva pārśvataś ca mahābalau,
Ākarṇa-pūraṇaṁ dhanvānau rakṣetāṁ Rāma-Lakṣmaṇau.
Translation:
May the mighty brothers, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa,
with their bows drawn fully up to their ears,
protect me from the front, from behind,
and from all sides at every moment.
५. सन्नद्धः कवची गद्गी चापबाणधरो युवा ।
गच्छन् मामग्रतः नित्यं रामः पातु लक्ष्मणः ॥
Sannaddhaḥ kavacī gadgī cāpa-bāṇa-dharo yuvā,
Gacchan mām agrataḥ nityaṁ Rāmaḥ pātu Lakṣmaṇaḥ.
Translation:
May youthful Rāma, ever ready with armor, sword, bow, and arrows,
and accompanied by His faithful brother Lakṣmaṇa,
always walk before me and protect me on my path.
६. रामाय रामभद्राय रामचन्द्राय वेधसे ।
रघुनाथाय नाथाय सीतायाः पतये नमः ॥
Rāmāya Rāmabhadrāya Rāmachandrāya vedhase,
Raghunāthāya nāthāya Sītāyāḥ pataye namaḥ.
Translation:
Obeisances unto Lord Rāma, Rāma-bhadra, and Rāma-chandra,
the knower of the Vedas, the master of the Raghus,
my eternal Lord, and the beloved husband of mother Sītā.
॥ इति श्रीरामापद्दुद्धारकस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
Thus ends the Śrī Rāma Āpadduddhāraka Stotram.
