Our story

Devotion and service since 2008

Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj was consecrated to manifest the divine vision of Founder-Acharya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Located near Science City, this pink sandstone architectural marvel serves as an oasis of quiet introspection, transcendental harmony, and pure Sanatana culture.

From early dawn Mangala Aarti to nocturnal shayana worship, every ceremony is conducted according to time-honored Pancharatrika scriptures, nurturing authentic Sanatana principles, youth ethics, and sacred cow protection.

Inspired by Srila Prabhupada, the mandir shares this wisdom through sankirtan — the congregational chanting of the holy names taught by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu — along with spiritual education, cultural programmes and the free distribution of prasadam.

A pocket Vaikuntha

Since its inauguration in April 2015, Hare Krishna Mandir has stood as a beacon of spirituality and service. It welcomes devotees seeking the Lord’s blessings, and anyone looking for spiritual solace away from the din and chaos of everyday life.

Its structure is a blend of Gujarati haveli and Rajasthani architecture. The temple is open throughout the year and is well known for its meticulous worship and vibrant festivals.

Our purpose

The vision behind Hare Krishna Mandir

To raise at Bhadaj a home for Krishna consciousness where anyone — pilgrim, family or first-time visitor — can take darshan of the deities, hear the Bhagavad-gita, honour prasadam and leave more peaceful than they came.

Our journey

Key milestones

  1. 2008

    The journey began from a rented bungalow in the Thaltej locality of Ahmedabad, to spread Krishna consciousness through the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, Srila Prabhupada’s books and free prasadam.

  2. 2008

    On 5 May, Hare Krishna Movement Ahmedabad was registered as a public trust (E/2684/Gandhinagar).

  3. 2015

    The temple was inaugurated at Bhadaj, near Science City, in April.

  4. Today

    A place of spirituality, devotion and culture, open to everyone every day of the year.
