6 infallible promises by Krishna

The teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad-gita go beyond the scope of brahma-vidya and yoga-shastra and reveal the intense feelings of an affectionate father towards His sons. Lord Krishna as the Supreme father, promises that He will never forsake His surrendered children and will personally take care of them. And at the same time He instructs that the children should never leave His hand.

1. “Carry what you lack” (9.22)

ananyascintayanto mam
yejanahparyupasate
teshamnityabhiyuktanam
yoga-kshemamvahamyaham

But those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form-to them I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.

2. “Pass over all obstacles” (18.58)

mac-cittahsarva-durgani
mat-prasadattarishyasi
athacettvamahankaran
nashroshyasivinankshyasi

If you become conscious of Me, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditional life by My grace. If, however, you do not work in such consciousness but act through false ego, not hearing Me, you will be lost.

3. “Devotee will never perish” (9.31)

kshiprambhavatidharmatma
shashvac-chantimnigacchati
kaunteyapratijanihi
na me bhaktahpranashyati

He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes.

4. “Swift deliverer from material ocean” (12.6-7)

yetusarvanikarmani
mayisannyasya mat-parah
ananyenaivayogena
mamdhyayantaupasate

teshamahamsamuddharta
mrityu-samsara-sagarat
bhavaminaciratpartha
mayyaveshita-cetasam

For one who worships Me, giving up all his activities unto Me and being devoted to Me without deviation, engaged in devotional service and always meditating upon Me, who has fixed his mind upon Me, O son of Prtha, for him I am the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death.

5. “Come to Me without fail” (18.65)

man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yaji mamnamaskuru
mamevaishyasisatyamte
pratijanepriyo 'si me

Always think of Me and become My devotee. Worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.

6. “Freedom from all sins” (18.66)

sarva-dharmanparityajya
mamekamsharanamvraja
ahamtvamsarva-papebhyo
mokshayishyami ma shucah

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.
