At Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, thousands of families arrive every day carrying hope, and prayers for the recovery of their loved ones. Many come from small towns and villages, often with limited financial resources, and struggle to find a safe and affordable place to stay during treatment.
To support these families with dignity and compassion, the Government of Gujarat, in collaboration with Hare Krishna Mandir Ahmedabad (ISKCON Bhadaj), has established the 858 Bed Rain Basera — a humanitarian initiative dedicated to serving patient's relatives and attendants.
This facility is created with the spirit of seva and charity, ensuring that families do not suffer additional hardship while caring for their loved ones.
Facilities Provided for Patient's Families
The Rain Basera offers essential services and facilities such as:
- Comfortable resting beds
- Clean and hygienic accommodation
- Sitting and waiting areas
- Safe locker facilities
- Affordable canteen services
- Peaceful and secure surroundings
All these services are provided at very minimal charges, purely with the intention of charity and humanitarian service, so that even economically struggling families can access shelter, rest, and basic necessities with dignity.
