The Sacred Essence of Tulsi

Tulsi Maharani's leaves, roots, and the soil around her are considered immensely sacred. Circumambulating around the Tulsi plant is believed to absolve us of all sins, from minor transgressions to the most severe offenses, even up to the act of Brahma-hatya (killing a Brahmin).

Devotees often adorn themselves with Tulsi necklaces and offer Tulsi leaves during prayers, showcasing the plant's deep connection to Lord Krishna and other divine beings.

Tulsi Puja – The Rituals

1. Selecting a Suitable Location

2. Paying Reverence
Offer your salutations to Tulsi Maharani by chanting the following mantra three times.

3. Lighting the Lamp
Light three incense sticks and a ghee lamp. Cleanse your hands and the incense sticks, then hold the incense sticks in your right hand and the bell in your left as you circulate them around Tulsi Maharani.

4. Water Purification
Wash your hands with pure water and then purify the incense sticks. Next, hold the incense in your right hand and the bell in your left, purifying Tulsi Maharani with their essence.

5. Offering Prayers
Present Tulsi Maharani with a garland of flowers and softly chant her praises while offering flowers at her feet.

6. Circumambulation
Circumambulate Tulsi Maharani three times while reciting the dedicated mantra.

7. Final Salutation
Conclude the ritual by chanting the Tulsi Maharani mantra thrice and offering your final respects.
