Sri Radhashtami - Divine Appearance Day of Srimati Radharani
The divine appearance of Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Sri Krishna, is grandly celebrated as Sri Radhashtami. It falls on the eighth night of the bright fortnight(Shukla Paksha) in the month of Bhadrapada (August - September). It is one of the most important festivals of Gaudiya Vaishnavas.
On this day, devotees perform an elaborate abhishekam for Srimati Radharani and Krishna. Devotees also sing a special song called Sri Radhikashtakam, glorifying Srimati Radharani. Their Lordships are decorated in gorgeous outfits and offered various delicious foodstuffs. Devotees sing scintillating kirtans for the pleasure of Sri Radha and Sri Krishna. Radharani is the most merciful mother of us all.
On the auspicious occasion of her divine appearance, we invite you to come and take part in the grand celebrations with us. Radharani is described as the personification of the highest degree of devotional service. She is known throughout the world as the most beloved of Krishna.
